Basic Concept of Business Amway is a well known company that you have probably heard about. They sell home products, cosmetics and nutritional products. This is a long running, established company with a proven track record. Amway claims that their business plan is low-risk and flexible to meet the needs of people in different life situations. Amway offers the chance to work the hours you want while being a part of a large and proven company.

Company Facts "Amway" is short for "American Way". It is a multibillion dollar international business that has been in existence for 45 years. They have over three million Independent Business Owners in over 80 countries and territories. Business owners sell products and also encourage others to build a business with Amway. Their products are popular and well known. Some of Amway's proceeds go to international aid projects that focus on children.

Customer Base Amway offers a variety of products and as a result an Amway business could potentially have a large customer base. Families might be interested in the cleaning products, women might be interested in the cosmetics and everyone can benefit from the vitamins and other supplements that Amway offers. One slight disadvantage is the fact that Amway is so popular and as a result a lot of people have already heard about it. You may have to work extra hard to build a customer base because of this. However, you also have the advantage that the company is so known that people may feel more confident in using their products. Also important would be to check how many other Amway business owners are in your area in order to make sure that there is not too much competition.

Rachel, my parents used to sell Amway. I know it has changed a lot since then, but I remember the products were great. :) Great article.

I honestly didn't know much about it until I started researching it. I do think it's a good company. As far as I know, I don't know anyone doing the business though.

I had a roommate who sold Amway. It was sad to see her because she was so shy, she didn't really build a customer base. I felt like her mentors were using her, because you earn more with people underneath you. My parents bought the products from some of their friends, but I had already moved out, so I don't know what they are like. I guess it just depends on if you can build a customer base or not. You need to be careful.
