It's Never Too Late To Take a Computer Class

I know, you meant to take that class on spreadsheets five years ago. And what about Powerpoint? Yeah, it seems everyone knows how to do those pesky presentations but you. Just because you haven't caught up in the technology department for your home business doesn't mean it's too late. There are still plenty of classes, courses, and workshops to be found that are geared toward helping the beginner, or the almost-beginner learn those neglected computer skills and programs.

In my town, our community college is an ideal resource for computer classes geared towards the small business owner. There are dozens of courses available at all sorts of convenient locations and at times that are geared toward the adult learner (who has plenty of other commitments and responsibilities to look after.) The great thing about this sort of class and learning is that you are likely to be with other adults who are in the same boat as you. You can look at it as an opportunity to learn spreadsheets, word processing, or databases and network at the same time! Continuing education or community education classes are often offered at local community centers, high schools and middle schools, and other convenient locations so that you don't have to go far.

Do not think that time and opportunity have passed you by-there are plenty of people-successful business owners too, many of them-who have not yet mastered some computer basics. A few weeks of a class or course and you'll be wondering why you put it off so long. You may even be able to find a teacher you like who teaches a combination class where you can learn several programs or computer skills in the course of the class and come away a true expert (or at least a functioning computer literate!)
