Personal Pet Peeve-Repetition and Having to do Things Over

I can often be found writing about all the things I love about working from home and running my own home business working for myself. I thought that in order to provide a bit of balance, I might share one of my big work pet peeves-having to do things over, wasting time, or too much repetition with things! As a solo worker here in my home office there isn't anyone to catch my mistakes for me or anyone who I can pawn off the work I don't want to do over, so I get stuck with it myself (even if I do grumble).

I think that working in my home business, and the realization that my direct effort is what results in income has made time and effort extremely precious to me. Any time I waste or mistakes I make that require me to re-write or do something over has a direct influence on efficiency and revenue potential. I know that sounds pretty "serious" even though I also acknowledge that it is impossible to NOT make mistakes-but I definitely do not have to like them even if they are inevitable!

I find that I am more likely to make mistakes that cost me time and money when I am overworked or dealing with tight time crunches. When other things are stressful with family and other obligations I am likely to end up with efficiency issues as well. Even though I KNOW this, and know that I should slow down, take my time, and be careful so that I don't end up creating more work and less income for myself, I don't always get myself under control! I know that I will find myself un-doing or re-doing if I don't watch out. The perils of being a one-woman show...
